Year End Totals!!

Postby haddenl » Tue Jan 13, 2015 9:30 pm

For all you log-keepers - what you got for the year?!

For a year marked by interruptions (school, studying, injury), I got 83 days on the water. 25 green laps, 12 days on the Chattooga, 39 on the Saluda, 2 at the 12th Street Wave, 2 at the WWC, and a day at NFFB, Cheoah, Upper Nantahala and Cascades, Cheoah, Upper Green, and Watauga.

No new rivers this year, and two swims.

Well done Hadden. I don't have a count of days, but here's some notables:

- First time on the Tellico (high water)
- First time on the Watauga (high water)
- Made it back to Narrows after 4 year hiatus. Think I got about 8 runs
- Thursday night big water at USNWC
- Got on Big Creek at big water but ended up walking off after a buddy's swim, lost paddle, stuck on wrong side of river, etc.
- Dawn patrol on the Pollo Loco. Got a few more days there as well.

think that's about it.

2014 was indeed a good year. Had my log book stolen out of my truck late spring so i am missing a few numbers.

Days: 196

New Rivers:
Great Falls of the Catawba: 1
Horsepasture: 1
Truckee: 4
Colorado River: 22
French Broad Sec IX: 1

Spent 26 days in the squirt boat. Most of those days were at high quality mystery arenas.
Traveled to California for 2014 mystery world championships
Scored a 30+ ride in a squirt comp
Spent 22 days rowing/squirting down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon
Finally got to run Sec IX of the French Broad

Hopefully 2015 will be just as good.

Can't keep track of the Saluda days, but managed to log 23 days out of town. New Rivers: Chattooga 3 (Sandy to Thrifts) and 4, Twelvemile, Cheoah, Tellico, Upper and Lower Gauley, and the Nolichucky. No swims. Fun year!
